Welcome to the Capital Summit 2008 pre-qualification website

This is the first step in qualifying for an invitation to the first-ever minority business enterprise (MBE) Capital Summit, to be held in New York City in November. The event is designed to match corporate demand with qualified MBEs competing in industries that have a high investment capital need to grow large scale/strategic businesses.

The event is a collaboration of several national organizations devoted to a first-of-its-kind initiative to align common interests of supplier/business-specific minority trade organizations.

Given the number of interested buyers and investors invited from across several major corporations and other corporate verticals, we require each MBE invitee to submit their credentials for screening to the Capital Summit committee and the corporate buyers and investors. The steps to being considered as an invitee are as follows:

  • Step 1. Submit basic credentials
Please note, given space constraints, we must limit the number of attendees at the event. Those passing the first step will move on to Step 2. Those not selected will be forwarded to the various participating companies/investors to be considered for engagement outside of the Capital Summit - - however, you must opt-in to be contacted in the event you are not provided an invitation to the Capital Summit.

  • Step 2. Respond to product/services inquiry
An additional inquiry from buyers/investors regarding business or technical expertise may be issued to narrow the field of invitees. Responses to these inquiries will determine whether your company receives an invitation to the Summit and a one-on-one interview slot with buyers/investors.

  • Step 3. Confirm attendance
Once a decision has been made to invite your company, you will be notified of our decision during the week of October 20th.
